Don't look behind you... WIP

OOOOH BOY IS THERE A STORY BEHIND THIS. After all the horrible SH fanart I've done, I decided to try and make something actually well composed. And I went all out, using some of the tricks I learned at school this past year. I did multiple thumbnails of the damn thing. Looked up lots of ref pics. went through all the typical paces. I decided I should attempt to color it, and figured that watercolor might work well so that I could play with the tones of the background.

BUT. I don't know jack about water colors. SO I spent even more time buying the right paints and then things got crazy and I couldn't work for a while... well I finally got to today. And you know what? I fucked it up.

I'm still going to attempt to doctor it and get a colored version up soon but for now... enjoy the scan of the original ink and pencil sketch that I wasn't originally gonna share while I wallow in self pity in the corner here before I get my confidence back up enough to make another attempt.

Ignore the fact that Pyramid Head is also roughly the size of Maria. *groans*
